To earn the Green Seal™ products must meet the Green Seal environmental standard for the category as demonstrated by rigorous evaluation and testing. Green Seal™ standards are set so that they identify the most environmentally preferable products currently available; thus, they set leadership standards. Products meet the Green Seal™ environmental standard for industrial and institutional cleaners based on reduced human and environmental toxicity and reduced volatile organic compound content, with skin and eye irritation and acute toxicity met at the as-used dilution.
